https://rodakis.com/Intro-Academie Mon, 04 Apr 2022 18:24:01 +0000 Rodakis https://rodakis.com/Intro-Academie Académie “Sometimes the reflection is far more present than the thing being reflected.”¹ In a world in which all land is mapped, the only territory left to explore is the uncertainty left by what scientific findings didn’t care to explain, the imagination, the journey through our own images. The surface.Rodakis explores the simulacra, less concerned about what is, than about what could’ve been. Rodakis is, so to say, the reflection. With a naive, tintinesque approach some would call pseudo scientific, the Académie researches not so much what our predecessors saw on their travels but the images they’ve returned with. The seemingly random products connected to the Académie on the other hand couldn’t be placed closer to reality. They’re fulfilling their purpose, but nothing more. They’re the bridge between reflection and the thing being reflected—until there’s no differentiation left, because in the end, reality is just a suggestion. The bioRe Gossypium Arboreum cotton we use is fully traceable along the entire carbon neutral value chain and was already cultivated by the Indus Valley Civilisation around 2’600 BCE. It’s exclusively licensed to our Swiss yarn manufacturer and grown around the Yawal Wildlife Sanctuary by family run farms (no plantations) which receive a unique purchase guarantee for their output, enabling conversion to organic farming and financial planning while ensuring the livelihood of the involved. Farmers and buyer form a true co-operation with regular exchange amongst the villages and educational programs for both themselves and others, resulting in better working conditions for all involved and a substantially higher return for their work. You see where this is going... there’s little to improve on the look of a T-shirt, but almost everything on its production. S M L XL A 125 130 140 150 B 430 445 460 490 C 255 255 250 250 D 140 160 170 180 E 480 500 540 575 F 670 700 715 730 Measured in milimeters. https://rodakis.com/World-Heritage-T-Shirt Mon, 05 Jun 2023 09:39:57 +0000 Rodakis https://rodakis.com/World-Heritage-T-Shirt World Heritage T-Shirt Our T-shirts are made entirely in Switzerland with pure combed and ring spun bioRe® cotton yarns, living up to the most demanding social and ecological standards worldwide.
